Becoming an administrator[]
Every registered user can file an administrator application. To become an administrator the user has to be accepted by a mentor. An administrator can be given administrator access rights immediately or after one week, at the option of his mentor. The probationary period for an administrator is one month and begins when the candidate is given administrator access rights. Before or during the probationary period every other administrator can terminate the probationary period with his veto. After the probationary period the new administrator is granted full administrator rights with all rights and obligations of the other administrators.
Democracy[]
- Being an administrator does not entail the right to outrank or to try to outrank regular users.
- Administrators are meant to promote the development of the wiki and to work in consensus.
- If a policy is required to do so administrators are encouraged to promote the development of the necessary policy but not to influence the voting process inappropriately beyond their own vote.
- The office of administrator does not entail additional votes or any other advantages in ballots.
